220' deg. should be Max. red/line as Head studs start pulling at 300'

Lean Carb Jetting can increase oil temp. 30' easily.

Deck Lid Stand-Offs lower temp. Approximate. 20'

VW Oil Temp. Varies directly with the Air Temp.

                    Oil Temperature

VW Oil cooler needs lots of air and will not cool properly when aftermarket cooler is placed on the
frame. A better place is in front of the Air intake.    Dual Coolers-->*ck

                     Oil Pressure

Normal Oil Pressure is 42 psi & Min = 28 psi

Oil Pressure above [ 30 SAE 70' at 2500 rpm]

Oil Pressure Warning Light comes on between 2-6 psi. Oil warning light was Green up to 1969

Oil Block-Off  for external cooler is "Out of top fitting & In the Lower Fitting" *ck
